Making use of something worth nothing!
Waste Not Want Not accepts:
“Perished” food from stores, excess prepared food from restaurants.
Household items that have been broken, deemed unsafe, or have become obsolete.
Unused and reclaimed building materials, appliances, all types of tools and equipment like compressors, generators, power washers, welders etc.
Sporting goods, bicycles, camping gear, some furniture, electronics, computers, printers, etc.
In general, we accept almost anything as long as the items are serviceable, or they can be repaired or re-purposed.
What is the Value?
Do you have a broken or warped ladder? Perhaps an old drill that doesn’t work? How about an old kayak that leaks?
There is always someone out there that will use it. We’ll take it, fix it, and give you a tax deductible receipt for your donation.
Your old saw will go to a carpenter who can’t afford a new one.
That kayak will be given to an underprivileged child who may be on the U.S. Olympic team someday.
Your old drill will be used to teach someone basic repair techniques that they can use for the rest of their life.
It doesn’t matter where it came from, everything has value to someone!
